The short version: We’re back!  Bacon Eggs & Kegs returns to Lumen Field on August 14 & 15

The long version from our founding couple - Cassie & Sam.

It is so surreal to be writing an event date announcement.  On one hand it feels like just yesterday that we were in final preparations for our sold-out (and subsequently postponed) March 2020 edition of Bacon Eggs & Kegs, and on the other hand it feels like a lifetime ago.  Here’s a glimpse into the last 16 months of our lives.

We launched a virtual events business within one month of announcing the postponement of Bacon Eggs & kegs - and had the honor of hosting some of Seattle’s best chefs, bartenders, and artists on live-streams with custom ingredient kits delivered to our guests' doorsteps.  Learning about kit packaging, live multi-camera video production, and building our own delivery system was uncharted territory, but our community rallied and supported us like never before.  

In February 2021, we were given the opportunity to create the first ever dining series on a professional sports field and our newest concept “Field To Table” was born.  During a 6 week debut in February & March and a second 2.5 week residency in June, we hosted over two dozen chefs & thousands of diners on Lumen Field. We will never forget the feeling when we started the production build for Field To Table; we sat on the field and tears of happiness ran down our faces as we were finally able to start doing what we loved again.  Everyone from the chefs to the front & back of house to the guests that chose to dine with us shared the same sentiment - it felt amazing to be together again.

Every live stream, every dinner service, every ounce of the hustle was part of a larger effort to keep our small team employed without interruption - and we’re proud to have met that goal.  That brings us here, to this post.  This moment is the reason we pushed so hard to keep our small business alive.

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your patience as we all awaited this day.  With our city slowly reopening, we sincerely hope that Bacon Eggs & Kegs is at the top of your list for getting back out there again.  Please celebrate with us on August 14 & 15.
